We purchased this for our son, I didn't want to spend a lot but I wanted something that would make it through a few more children. The stain and quality of the wood is amazing.It looks beautiful and feels very sturdy and secure. One of the screw holes was defective so we weren't able to put the crib at it's highest setting. We were very disappointed but we need the crib now, so weren't able to send the part back. Overall seems like a great crib though.

purchased this item because I am only 5'5" with a bad back and thought it would be easier to lift the baby in and out. well, I went into premature labor and my hubby is stuck in another state for work, so my teenage son said he would put it together. I am on bed rest so I let him give it a try. Well, he is a smart kid, and I sat with him to make sure he used correct screws so it won't fall apart. BUT I guess that matters little when the damn screws are defective to begin with. The hexagon cut out (for allen wrench) is too shallow to hold the tool... way to shallow, I mean barely there. So not sure what we are going to do now, since I am stuck on bed rest, I can't exactly go to the hardware store and buy replacements. AND I DON'T FEEL I SHOULD HAVE TO DO THAT TO BEGIN WITH!!! Some of the screws are OK, so we proceeded to try with what we had BUT some of the holes are not deep enough or don't line up... and he told me one feels like it is completely stripped so it won't hold the screw anyway. WOW... I am disappointed and I am stuck, because I am on bed rest & supposed to avoid stress. This product looks nice but mechanically SUCKS. My husband plans on re-drilling the holes to make the screws fit, and he will have to buy new screws for the defective ones... this will probably VOID our warranty, of course... BUT we need a crib NOW!!!

I recently purchased the Shelby Classic and it is as awesome as the positive reviews I read and as attractive as I could have imagined. The assembly was a snap! My 6 yr old helped! Took about 35-40 min to assemble. Beautiful, rich and sturdy. I highly recommend this crib to anyone! Purchased the Cappuccino and it is lovely. If you need a crib this is the one.
